Discover Goal Shot Ball — Kenya's First-Ever Training & Tournament

The Kenya Goal Shot Ball Federation invites the whole country to Discover Goal Shot Ball, the first event of its kind ever staged in Kenya. Over two mornings at the Aga Khan Ground, anyone who wants to learn, play or simply watch the sport is welcome — and entry is completely free.

What happens on each day

Saturday 15 August 2026 — Training session, 9:00 AM

An open coaching session run by Federation coaches. You will learn the basics of the game from the ground up: how possession works, the four-second rule, the two-step rule, and how the Impact Player scores double. No prior experience is needed and no kit is required beyond sports shoes and comfortable clothing.

Sunday 16 August 2026 — Tournament, 9:00 AM

Teams formed on the Saturday, along with invited school and club sides, compete in Kenya's first competitive Goal Shot Ball fixtures. Matches follow the full rules of the game: five players a side — four court players and a goalkeeper — across two halves of twenty minutes.

Why it matters

Goal Shot Ball is a fast, inclusive team sport, and this is the moment it formally arrives in Kenya. The Federation is registered under the Sports Act, 2013 and affiliated with the International Goal Shot Ball Federation, and this event opens the pathway that runs from grassroots participation through county leagues to national team selection. Everyone who takes part on these two days is in at the very beginning.

If you would like to bring a team, register a school, or volunteer as an official, get in touch with the Federation before the event. You can also read more about our development programmes and how to get involved.
